Support Student Travel to Ethiopia

This summer, the University of Montana will be sending four faculty members, six health professions graduate students, and one family medicine resident on a global health service learning trip to Gondar, Ethiopia for three weeks. Family medicine, psychology, physical therapy, and pharmacy will all be represented within this multidisciplinary medical team. While there, our group will be working with the University of Gondar to promote health education in the local community, collaborate with local medical providers and health professions students, and learn about local non-governmental organizations with which we may coordinate efforts.

The approximate cost for each individual is $3,000. This includes air fare, lodging, food, and the necessary vaccinations and each student is responsible for their own travel expenses.  In order to offset the costs, the University of Montana Foundation has set up an account to receive donations to support our efforts to educate students from the University of Montana about global health issues.  Tax-deductible donations can be made to the UM Foundation through this website.  Thank you for your generous support!
