Call for proposals: CPHR Research Projects

The University of Montana Center for Population Health Research (CPHR), an NIH Center of Biomedical Research Excellence (COBRE), will support 2 or more Research Projects to represent the next phase of our growing community of investigators. Note that this funding opportunity is distinct from our pilot project program. The Research Projects will be multi-year projects funded up to $150,000 in direct costs per year. Lead investigators are expected to allocate a substantial portion (~50% grant-supported) of their overall effort to the project. Applications must describe a research project that fits well with the scientific theme of the CPHR  and it must be suitable to lead to the submission of an R01 or equivalent proposal. Preference will be given to projects that will make good use of one or more CPHR Core Facilities at the University of Montana. Key dates are indicated below.

This competition is open to all full-time faculty members at the University of Montana. New and Early-stage investigators are encouraged to apply.*

If you are interested in applying, you are strongly encouraged to contact Curtis Noonan (curtis.noonan@umontana.edu) to discuss program fit and eligibility status.
