I attended Ohio State University and went to Ohio University Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine for medical school.
Where did you do your residency?
Family Medicine Residency of Western Montana
What do you most enjoy about practicing Family Medicine?
I chose family medicine because of my love for helping new families transition through pregnancy and into parenthood. I have enjoyed getting group prenatal and well child care up and running and helping create a community around healthcare for our residents and for our patients. I enjoy studying osteopathy, especially as it applies to trauma, including birth trauma.
What brought you to Montana?
The opportunity to train in and practice both maternity and pediatric care in the most beautiful community.
Why did you choose to be part of FMRWM?
Being surrounded by such a forward thinking, supportive and collaborative team every day, nowhere better to be!
What are some of your interests outside of the clinic or classroom?
Yoga, hiking and exploring the Bitterroot and Mission mountains, learning how to cross country ski and snowboard, cooking, enjoying the wonderful like-minded people that are drawn to areas like Missoula
What is your favorite:
- Book? The Red Tent, a really beautiful depiction of the experience of female experience and maternity care in the biblical era
- Movie? At the risk of jumping on the bandwagon, Harry Potter
