Resetting a password

NetID Credentials

  • Responsible Party: IT Central
  • IT Central manages the NetID authentication system for campus services.  
  • To reset your NetID password or if you have other problems with your NetID credentials, please contact the Central IT helpdesk at extension 4357 (xHELP).  If the Central IT helpdesk is not able to resolve the problem or if you have other questions, contact the CHPBS IT Helpdesk.

UM Domain credentials

  • Responsible Party: CHPBS IT
  • IT Central manages the UM domain (firstname.lastname) authentication system, though CHPBS IT is able to create new accounts, manage College users, and update passwords in this system.
  • If you need assistance with your UM domain credentials, including password changes, contact the CHPBS IT Helpdesk.

Changing a password

  • To change your NetID password, visit the IT Central password management site. If you have other problems with your NetID credentials, please contact the Central IT helpdesk at extension 4357 (xHELP).  
  • If the Central IT helpdesk is not able to resolve the problem or if you have other questions, contact the CHPBS IT Helpdesk.

  • IT Central manages the UM domain (firstname.lastname) authentication system, though CHPBS IT is able to create new accounts, manage College users, and update passwords in this system.
  • To change your UM domain credentials, or for other assistance with your UM domain credentials, contact the CHPBS IT Helpdesk.
