Welcome to MTGEC's Online Alzheimer's Disease Training Opportunity!
MTGEC is offering two of our curriculum courses focused on cognitive impairment and dementia in older adults for continuing education credit for health care professionals.
The two 2-hour courses, Cognitive Decline and Dementia in Older Adults and Screening for Cognitive Impairment are part of our Online Geriatric Health Curriculum. These are being offered free of charge to Montana residents as part of the Geriatric Workforce Enhancement Program (GWEP) funded through HRSA. Out of state residents will be charged a fee of $25.00. Registration to the course gains participants a 6-month enrollment period (current enrollment period: January 1, 2021 - June 25, 2021), providing a convenient and flexible online format. Participants complete a pre-test, a post-test with a score of 70% or higher and a final course evaluation to earn the certificate of completion (CEU’s). These courses are available for professional contact hour credits for nurses, pharmacists social workers, licensed counselors, occupational therapists, physical therapists, and nursing home administrators.
