University of Montana Physical Therapy Clinic

The University of Montana Physical Therapy Clinic (UMPT Clinic) provides high quality, patient-centered physical therapy care while serving as a teaching facility for graduate physical therapy students. Your care will be provided by a licensed physical therapist, along with graduate physical therapy interns.

Our Mission

The mission of The University of Montana Physical Therapy Clinic is to provide services that include physical therapy and wellness to the University of Montana students, faculty and staff and active individuals of all ages in the community. In addition to physical therapy services, the UMPT Clinic also provides fitness and wellness programs for people with physical limitations, disabilities, and chronic illnesses.

Our History

Nora Staael Evert, a pioneer of physical therapy in the 1950´s, originally studied dance in NYC. Instrumental in starting the UMPT Clinic in 1967, she was known for her positive energy, strength, creativity and originality. Her spirit carries on as the staff of the UMPT Clinic strives to provide high quality and innovative care for every kind of movement dysfunction.
