The School of Public and Community Health Sciences at the University of Montana recently was awarded a $1.8 million grant from the Eunice Kennedy Shriver National Institute of Child Health and Human Development. Erin Semmens, faculty here in SPCHS, has been awarded the New Researcher Abstract Award at this year's International Society for Environmental Epidemiology conference. This was the 28th annual conference, held last week in the beautiful city of Rome. Dr. Semmens' winning abstract is titled: Long-Term Exposure to Traffic-Related Air Pollutants and Cognitive Trajectories in the Cardiovascular Health Study.
