CPHR Researchers Present at National Immunization Meeting

Researchers from the UM Center for Population Health Research are disseminating their findings on rural immunization disparities on a national stage.  CPHR Epidemiology Specialist Rain Freeman (pictured above) and CPHR Investigator and School of Public & Community Health Sciences Assistant Professor Sophia Newcomer (below, right) both gave oral presentations at the 2021 American Immunization Registry Association Meeting, held August 2-4 in Portland, Oregon.  Ms. Freeman presented on missed opportunities for human papillomavirus vaccination in Montana, and Dr. Newcomer presented on spatial analyses of under-vaccination patterns in early childhood in Montana.   Both projects are collaborative efforts with the Montana Department of Public Health and Human Services.  CPHR is funded by a Center for Biomedical Research Excellent award (1P20GM130418) from the National Institute of General Medical sciences of the National Institutes of Health.
