Education

Linguistics MA, University of Montana- Studies focused on morphology and bilingualism. Research experience analyzing the morphology of possessive markers in Lani, and examining approaches to typifying valency increasing applicative affixes in Lushooted and Halkomelem.

Spanish BA, University of Northern Arizona- Studied applied Spanish linguistics, presented Borges' poetry translation from La rosa profunda/El oro de los tigres as senior capstone project. Studied at Universidad del Salvador in Buenos, Aires (2017), taking courses on interantional human rights law, Argentinian political history, and classic Argentinian literature. 

International Affairs BA, University of Northern Arizona- Focused foreign policy studies on government systems across Iran, Syria, and Turkey post- Arab Spring. Conducted senior capstone research on linguistic trends within the speeches of elected United States presidents, through an analysis of word frequencies across campaign speeches from four election cycles. 

Teaching Experience

Fall 2022- English language instructor at the University of Montana's English Language Institute. Supported university students as they developed their academic writing through contextualized learning in history and literature studies.

Novemebr 2022- Taught an intensive English seminar for au pairs learning career and business English. Led seminars on pronunciation, interview best practices and preparedness, conversational English, and common workplace idiomatic expressions.

International Experience

October 2022- Guest speaker on the sister state relationship held by Montana and the Kumamoto prefecture in Japan. Presented to English public speaking classes at Kumamoto and Minamata high school, speaking on local history and the relationship between place and language.
