Kris works with the Center for Translational Medicine in the drug delivery/formulations lab of Dr. David Burkhart with the goal of creating vaccines to reduce the burden of human disease. Kris designs nanoparticle liposomes and emulsions that contain novel C-type lectin receptor (CLR) and toll-like receptor (TLR) agonists for use as new and effective vaccines against SARS-CoV-2/COVID-19, Mycobacterium tuberculosis, and influenza.
Kris earned his B.S. in Biochemistry at the University of Wisconsin-Madison with Honors in the Liberal Arts. He is currently a Ph.D. candidate in Toxicology.

Kris enjoys exploring new places in Montana through outdoor activities including trail running, mountain biking, snowboarding, rafting, and climbing.
