Healthy Pregnancies

Regular prenatal care is key to a healthy pregnancy. If you think you're pregnant, call your health care provider to schedule your first prenatal appointment. Nutrition, exercise, and sleep are essential to the health of you and your child.

If you are healthy and the pregnancy is not high-risk, your health provider will want to see you:

  • Every 4 weeks until the 28th week of pregnancy,
  • Then every 2 weeks until 36 weeks,
  • Then once a week until delivery

Video: Dr. Sharma, a specialist in Obstetrics & Gynecology, gives tips for healthy pregnancies on postpartum depression, nutrition, exercise, low back pain, and red flags.
