Commission on Accreditation of Athletic Training Education (CAATE)

The ATEP Program Director assembles a Self-Study Committee by identifying and securing the cooperation of individuals who represent the interests of the program and possess knowledge and expertise to assist in the self-study process. The committee is made up of representatives from the College of Education and Human Sciences. the School of Integrative Physiology and Athletic Training, the Department Intercollegiate Athletics, and Athletic Training Students. The objectives of the committee are to:

  • Collect data, conclusions and reports from previous and ongoing self-study activities performed by the program.
  • Establish a timetable for completion of interim stages of the self-study and the Self-Study Report.
  • Complete specific tasks for the development of the "Self-Study Report."
  • Assist with the Self-Analysis Summary for each section.
  • Assist with Program Evaluation Data
  • Assist with editing the Narrative section of the "Self-Study Report."
  • Compile recommendations and identify concerns of the ATEP based on the latest JRC-AT Standards and Guidelines.
