Lisa Dworak Announced as Executive Director of Confluence Public Health Alliance

Lisa Dworak, SPCHS Alumna, Named Executive Director of Confluence Public Health Alliance

The Montana Public Health Association (MPHA), Association of Montana Public Health Officials (AMPHO) and Montana Environmental Health Association (MEHA) are pleased to announce that Lisa Dworak, MPH, MPA, has been hired as Executive Director of Confluence Public Health Alliance (CPHA). CPHA is an independent, non-profit organization that will provide leadership and management, operational, administrative and support services to its three member organizations:  MPHA, AMPHO and MEHA.

Lisa brings public health program management, administration, policy, advocacy and relationship-building experience that she has gained working in rural and urban communities in Montana and Nebraska.  She holds master’s degrees in Public Health and Public Administration, as well as a bachelor’s degree in Health Sciences.

CPHA is dedicated to promoting the health of Montanans by providing services that advance innovation and collaboration among public health organizations and the individuals who deliver programs, services and protections that impact public health.  It was formed by the leadership of MPHA, AMPHO and MEHA through a deliberative process, funded by the Montana Healthcare Foundation, that spanned nearly two years.  Leaders involved in the process have included:  

*   Emily Colomeda, Shawn Hinz and Lora Wier, representing Montana Public Health Association 

*   Drenda Niemann, Hillary Hanson and Matt Kelley, representing Association of Montana Public Health Officials (Hillary Hanson and Matt Kelley were serving as local health officers when they participated) 

*   Jeffrey Havens and Alisha Johnson, representing Montana Environmental Health Association 

As CPHA Executive Director, Ms. Dworak will work during its first year to transition all operations of its member organizations (MPHA, AMPHO, MEHA) to CPHA.  She will lead the development of all aspects of CPHA, including its long-term strategy, programs and services, finance, resource development and more.  Lisa will begin as Executive Director on January 3, 2022.
