The UMPT Clinic Difference

The UMPT Clinic is fully staffed by nationally renowned faculty in the University of Montana Doctor of Physical Therapy program. UMPT Clinic physical therapists consistently publish and present on the latest breakthroughs in physical therapy. The UMPT Clinic offers a unique blend of Orthopedic, Sports, Neurological, and Work-related physical therapy. The Clinic is conveniently located in the Skaggs Building on the University of Montana campus and easy parking creates a welcoming environment for patients. The UMPT Clinic is open to all community members and accepts most major insurances.

Mission

The mission of The University of Montana Physical Therapy Clinic is to provide services that include physical therapy and wellness to the University of Montana students, faculty and staff and active individuals of all ages in the community. In addition to physical therapy services, the UMPT Clinic also provides fitness and wellness programs for people with physical limitations, disabilities, and chronic illnesses.

Our History

Nora Staael Evert, a pioneer of physical therapy in the 1950's, originally studied dance in NYC. Nora was instrumental in starting the UMPT Clinic (formerly the Nora Staael Evert Clinic) in 1967, she was known for her positive energy, strength, creativity, and originality. Her spirit carries on as the staff of the UMPT Clinic strives to provide high quality and innovative care for every kind of movement dysfunction.
