Center welcomes first Visiting Researcher on "Team Vaccine"

Sarah is a MPH candidate in the Department of Epidemiology of Microbial Diseases at the Yale School of Public Health. Her interests lie at the intersection of vaccine preventable diseases, equitable access to care, and health justice.

Sarah was awarded a Downs Fellowship to join Dr. Sophia Newcomer’s research team at CPHR, where she will evaluate barriers to and facilitators of vaccination among American Indian and Alaska Native populations in Montana. Specifically, her research will focus on characterizing gaps in early childhood vaccination coverage. Additionally, she will be studying factors that influence COVID-19 vaccine acceptance, hesitancy, and refusal. Her research methods include quantitative and qualitative approaches.

Sarah graduated from Williams College with a degree in Chemistry.
