Project Echo

Project ECHO (Extension for Community Healthcare Outcomes) is a collaborative model of medical education and care management that empowers clinicians everywhere to provide better care to more people, right where they live. Project ECHO UM connects Montana healthcare providers with interdisciplinary specialist teams using technology to facilitate mentoring and knowledge sharing.

The ECHO model™ does not actually “provide” care to patients. Instead, it dramatically increases access to specialty treatment in underserved and rural areas by providing front-line clinicians with the knowledge and support they need to manage patients with complex and chronic conditions.

Current ECHO Series

  • Hepatitis C ECHO - 1st and 3rd Tuesdays at noon via Zoom. Connect with medical experts in the state to improve testing and treatment for patients with Hepatitis C infection.
  • DIS ECHO (Disease Intervention Specialist) - Every 2nd and 4th Thursday at 11:00 am via Zoom. Connect with other public health professionals to enhance your knowledge of communicable diseases, investigations, and reporting while increasing your state resource base through a feeling of community and partnership with your peers.
