Erin Semmens speaks at Society for Epidemiologic Research symposium on wildfires

CPHR faculty and project lead Dr. Erin Semmens spoke at the 2021 Society for Epidemiologic Research's June 25 symposium on wildfires and health impacts. This symposium was led by Dr. Anjum Hajat (University of Washington) and Dr. Tarik Benmarhnia (University of California, San Diego). The symposium hosted serveral speakers with the aim to discuss epidemiological and methodological challenges for understanding the human health effects of wildfires, as well as policy implications of related research.

Dr. Semmens presented CPHR research on “The effects of wildfire and non-wildfire particulate matter exposures during pregnancy on birth outcomes in a rural state.”
